Educational modules
In order to make the charter a little more alive for you, we have tried to supplement each point of the charter with situational examples and implementation aids.
In the beginning, some of what you read in the documents may be new, unfamiliar or even irritating for you. Some may think: "We don’t have a problem with trans, intersex, and non-binary people, everyone can come to us if they want to." This is a very common argument and understandable from the perspective described above.
Therefore, an example to clarify: Have you ever been to a party where you had the feeling that you just didn’t really feel comfortable? You were really looking forward to the party, arrive there and realise that somehow you don’t fit in. Everyone seems to be on the same wavelength, telling each other inside jokes that you don’t understand and have a similar style of dress. Maybe people are even nice to you, but that doesn’t change the feeling that you are fundamentally different and don’t fit in.
Trans, intersex, and non-binary (TIN) people experience such "parties" in very different situations and contexts, including in sports clubs, often or even daily. This can lead to no or few TIN people coming to the club.
The educational modules show you how your sports club or sports association can become a "party" for all genders.
